Brushes...Brushes and MORE Brushes!

I frequently get asked whats the secret to doing makeup the right way....my answer is this, "GET THE RIGHT BRUSHES!" When you have the right tools....everything is possible! My tools in this case...makeup brushes. (Of course I attribute a great eyeshadow look to Urban Decay's Primer Potion as well!)

So here are pictures of some of my brushes...I do have A LOT of brushes...and do use almost all of them!

The red brush roll is from www.bhcosmetics.com and it was only $6.00!!! So I got 2 of them to store some other brushes I have! This roll contains all the brushes I use on a daily basis.

This is my Crown Brush Roll (http://www.crownbrush.com/)  I got a couple years back...All the red handled brushes are from Crown. I use these brushes as well but love red, so I'm using the new roll ha!

Brushes by Function:
(Disclaimer...I decided to write this late at night so the brushes aren't cleaned...sorry!)

FACE:

These are the brushes I use for my face...
All Brushes are by Sigma (www.sigmabeauty.com) except the small kabuki.

All the brushes are labeled...click the picture for the bigger writing.

EYES:

I use a combo of these brushes everyday...

Most of these brushes are Sigma Brushes. There are 2 Designer Makeup Tools
And 1 Crown Brush...All the brushes are labeled. Enlarge the pic for exact names!

These brushes are all by Sigma and they are all used for some sort of concealer or eye primer application. The brushes are also labeled, so enlarge for details!

These are different brushes I use for lining my eyes. My favorite one is the silver fine liner Designer Brush. I get the finest lines when I use it! Brushes are labeled, enlarge for details.

Other Brushes:

These are some random brushes in my collection.
The fan brush is what I use to brush away the loose powder under my eye during application.
The small angled brush I use to fill in my eyebrows
The Sigma brush I use to contour the sides of my nose and under my bottom lip.
Enlarge for names/details.

I reallyyyyyyy LOVEEEEE Sigma brushes...and HIGHLY recommend them! They are very affordable and come in many different types of kits! They are also based out of the USA...and I like that very much! Visit their website here www.sigmabeauty.com

Welp that's a look inside my brush collection. I hope this helps in any brush purchasing decisions. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment below! Also don't forget to SUBSCRIBE so you don't miss any posts!

Inspired by Art...Thanks KY

The other day my friend Ky mentioned me in a twitter post saying that she was designing makeup looks that she knew that I would like them...and she was right!!! So I asked her to design one for me...and she did! So I recreated it!

Here is the drawing Ky did                             My version

Primed my eye, applied loose powder to catch dark shadows
Took a light grey color from Inglot and applied it to the inner corner of my eye to the middle.

Applied Fuschia/Hot Pink (Inglot and Sugar Pill Colors) in the middle to outer corner of the lid.

Applied Dark Brown from Too Faced to the outer V corner and blended towards the inner corner of my eye.

Added the under eyebrow highlight color from Too Faced

Filled in my eyebrows with the same Dark Brown used in the V corner and applied Blacktrack gel liner from MAC.

Curled lashes, applied MAC prep & prime mascara, then used Too Faced LashGasm mascara on top of primer

And the Look is done! For some reason the flash wasn't picking up as much as I wanted to but decided to show all my pores haha!

Hope you enjoyed and thanks to KY for the inspiration! <3

Happy 4th of July...Red, White, & Blue Makeup!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY AMERICA!!!
Here are some awesome fireworks photos before the makeup look! :D

So I figured since it was the 4th of July and I'm patriotic, I'd do a Red, White, and Blue eyeshadow look, ENJOY!

I already applied foundation, concealer, blush, contour, primer and powder....so on to the eyes.

First I applied NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk on my lower lid and blended it in.

Next I applied Afterparty (blue eyeshadow) from Sugarpill to the lid, but not close to the eye or the outside corner

Both eyes...don't mind the loose powder under my eyes. It catches dark colors and prevents color smudging...and makes my eyes look weird haha!

I then took the NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk and applied it under my brow, then applied Tako (white shadow) from Sugarpill on top.

Open eye view

Next I took MAC's Wait Til Dark, dark blue eyeshadow and applied it on the V outside corner and to the middle of the lid.

I took Love + (red eyeshadow) from Sugarpill and applied it from the inner corner of my eye to where the dark blue color met, and blended well. I also applied many layers of the red to prevent it from looking like purple.

I filled in my eyebrows with the dark brown color from the Too Faced Glamour to Go palette. Touched up the white shadow under the eyebrow as well.

I then applied Inglot's Waterproof eyeliner gel in 77. (Be careful when using this because once its on the skin its not budging, unless to be removed with makeup remover.) I made it thin and then winged it out at the edge. (Don't mind the white dot, it was a piece of glitter that reflected the flash.)

Another look at the eyeliner.

I decided to use fake lashes to give this a "flashy" dazzle. I used NYX eyelash glue in black, and Sugarpill lashes in Dreamy.

Eyelashes on view 1

Eyelashes on view 2
I also put white eyeliner on my waterline and applied mascara to set the false lashes in place and on the botom lashes as well.

All done...and under eye powder has been swished away.  =)

  EYES wide open ;)

Hope you enjoyed this look....any questions or comments, leave them below! I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July (if you are in the USA.)

Tuesday's look of the Day!

Each day for the past couple weeks I've been putting together the "Look of the Day" with different eyeshadow looks. Since I've created this blog I figured it was time to post those looks here along with more pics. That way I can go into detail about what makeup I used and which brushes and so on.

So here it goes.....

Blank slate....no makeup, just moisturizer on.

First I started with just primer, foundation, concealer, and mineral powder
I used Too Face Primed & Poreless Primer, Smashbox Beauty Balm Foundation, Laura Gellar Eye/Lip Spackle, and Extra Virgin Mineral Powder (FUNNY NAME I KNOW!)

Next I put on eyeshadow primer, Cheek Contour, Blush and Set it with Mineral Powder.
I used Urban Decay Primer Potion, Blushbaby MAC Blush, Elf Blush/Bronzing Powder Duo (I don't know the color) and the Extra Virgin Mineral Powder.

Face is done...now on to the eyes!!!

Before I do my eyeshadow I put loose powder under my lower lashes to catch the fallout of dark colors. So you might see that in the next couple pictures.

I started off using a shimmery green frost eyeshadow from Morphe #37. I put that all over the lid of my eye.

Next I took Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pigment in Black and blended it into the out V corner of the lid....bringing it toward the nose, but not all the way.

Then I add the highlight color under the brow. I used a light shimmery beige color from my Too Faced Glamour to Go palette.

I then apply MAC Blacktrack gel eyeliner to the top lashline and wing it out to almost the end of the black color.
I also brush and fill in my eyebrows. I used a dark brown from the Too Face Glamour to Go palette.

I curl my eyelashes and apply MAC Prep & Prime mascara, then coat the lashes with Too Faced LashGasm over the primer. I use 2-3 coats.

And the look is done...I didn't take any face pictures with my eyes open sorry :-\

Here are some more random pics, and pics of the products I used....

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pigment in Black
Morphe Eyeshadow # 37
Too Faced Glamour to Go
